How has the Project achieved Best Practice?

We are proud that the Pride in Camp Hill regeneration project has been applauded over the years as an inspiration for best practice in a variety of areas, in particular partnership working and community inspired regeneration.

Successess 2002

  • Pride in Camp Hill won the Coventry, Solihull & Warwickshire Partnership’s Award for SRB Achievement & Excellence in Implementatuion and Delivery for their work in Empowering the Community in Camp Hill

Successes 2004

  • Pride in Camp Hill was a finalist in the Regnerations Award’s Regeneration Agency of the Year Category

Successes 2006

  • Pride in Camp Hill was commended by the Regeneration WM Built Environment Public-Private Centre Collaboration Award.
  • Pride in Camp Hill were commeded for the Regen WM Roses from the Ashes Award for the Middlemarch Rise development.
  • Pride in Camp Hill were commended for the Regen WM Built Environment Award for the Middlemarch Rise Development.
  • Pride in Camp Hill was the winner of the Chair’s A Vision for Transformation Award.
  • Pride in Camp Hill was a finalist in the Regeneration Award’s Regeneration Agency of the Year category.

Successes 2007

  • Pride in Camp Hill was awarded the Forum for Constructing  Excellence (FORCE) Award for Regeneration Practice which was awarded for the use of pioneering environmental works in the development Middlemarch Rise.
  • Pride in Camp Hill was a finalist in the British Urban Regeneration Award for Best Practice in Regeneration.
  • Pride in Camp Hill was a finalist in the British Urban Regeneration Award for Community Inspired Regeneration.
  • Pride in Camp Hill was shortlisted for the Royal Institure of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Award.  The RICS judges commented the following:

“Only Phase 1 of  this scheme has been completed but the work done has imagination and the use of materials is remarkably good.  All involved can be justly proud of what has been achieved.”

Successes 2008

  • Midland Quarry was highly praised by judges at the national Ground Engineering Awards with particular  recognition for the sustainability of the programme.
  • Camp Hill was listed in the annual Regeneration and Renewal Top 100 Regeneration Projects.
  • Pride in Camp Hill gained national recognition for community regeneration with a large profile article in The Times.
  • Pride in Camp Hill were shortlisted for the West Midlands Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors Awards.

Successes 2009

  • Pride in Camp Hill was nationally recognised with the news that Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council had been short listed for the prestigious Municipal Journal Achievement Awards in the Regeneration Achievement Category.

Successes 2010

  • Pride in Camp Hill won the Best Housing, Contstruction and Infrastructure Award at the prestigious Community Partnership Awards 2010.
  • Pride in Camp Hill were the runners up in the Best Regeneration Partnership Category at the Community Partnership Awards.
  • Pride in Camp Hill featured in the Regeneration and Renewal Top 100 Regeneration Project, placed 84th.
  • Pride in Camp Hill was nationally recognised with the news that Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council had been short listed for the prestigious Municipal Journal Achievement Awards in the Regneration Achievement Category.
  • Midland Quarry received 2 Instution of  Civil Engineers Awards.
  • The Times featured an article on Camp Hill in February.

  • Lovell were awarded the Gold Considerate Constructors Award for their work in Camp Hill.
  • Baratt Mercia’s Bluebell development was awarded Best Regeneration Project at the House Builder Awards, which are organised by The House Builder magazine in conjunction with the Homebuilders Federation.
  • Barratt Mercia‘s Bluebell development was awarded the silver accolade in the Best Brownfield Development categroy of the What House? Awards.
  • Pride in Camp Hill won the Chair’s Prize for Regeneration Project of the Decade 2010 from the Regen WM Awards.
  • The Bluebell development was shortlisted for the Regional Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors Award for Best Regeneration Project.
  • Camp Hill was fetaured in the top ten of the most up and coming property hotspots in the country by the Telegraph newspaper.
