Residents are warned to beware of bogus debt collection letters which claim to come from HMRC. Never respond to bogus letters. If you believe a letter is genuinely from HMRC, contact the them using a telephone number, email address or postal address that is publicly listed as being the correct contact details for HMRC.

- Make a scam/rogue trader complaint to Trading Standards via the Citizen’s Advice Consumer Service website or call them on 034 5404 0506.

- Sign up to scam alerts from Warwickshire County Council here.
- Avoid rogue traders. Use the Warwickshire Trading Standards No Rogue Traders Here approved trader scheme.
