Warwickshire Trading Standards are warning local residents to beware of cold calls from fraudsters masquerading as PPI claim handling businesses.
One Warwickshire resident was phoned and told that she was due £2370 back from the Royal Bank of Scotland and that a ‘Government Solicitor ‘ would personally deliver the cheque. The resident was further told that she would be required to show this individual on their arrival her passport, driving licence, three utility bills and sign an iTunes gift card!
For more information I the iTunes gift card scam go to the Apple Support website.
Never invite any cold callers to visit your home.
