The CHESS Centre Code Club will be teaming up with Code Club UK at the CHESS Centre on Cedar Road for a Code Club Meet Up and Showcase.
If you’re an educator, teacher, aspiring Code Club host or volunteer, this event is for you. The meet up is our way to give back and say thanks to the Code Club community, introduce new people to what we’re all about and introduce interested people to some awesome digital making ‘stuff’ and activities.
So satisfy your curiosity and come along on the 27th September, 6.00pm – 8.00pm (it’s all FREE) to share in what promises to be an ace event.
At the event, we’ll have demos aplenty from our amazing Code Club hosts and volunteers as well as the lowdown on what’s new and happening across the world of Code Club and the Raspberry Pi Foundation. There will also be plenty of opportunities to network over refreshments.
About Code Club
Code Club UK is a UK wide network of free volunteer-led after-school coding clubs for children aged 9 – 13. Their aim is to inspire the next generation to get excited about computer science and digital making. To do this, they support a nationwide network of volunteers and educators who run the free coding clubs where children can build and share their ideas whilst learning along the way.
Code Club UK has loads of schools, libraries and other venues across Warwickshire and beyond looking for volunteers to start their clubs. The co-ordinator for the area will be at the event to answer questions about starting or running a club.
