Firefighters from Nuneaton are inviting residents to come along and join in the fun this Saturday – 2nd September at their annual Fire Station’s Community and Charity Open Day.
The event, which is being run by Warwickshire’s Fire and Rescue Service, will run from 10.00am to 4.00pm at Nuneaton Fire Station, Newtown Road, Nuneaton. The aim of the day is to help firefighters to promote fire safety in the home, showcase the work of the Fire and Rescue Service, raise money for The Firefighters Charity and support many other different charities.
The event is free to attend. Those attending will be able to see and take part in a wide range of activities including fairground activities, a bouncy castle, a slide, face painting, a mini train, a new climbing wall (courtesy of NBBC), an inflatable maze, a football challenge, go karts, body art, temporary tattoos, tombola, raffles, crafts, Warwickshire Freewheelers, Warwickshire Wildlife Sanctuary, the opportunity to abseil down the Station Tower, see the crews in action with a road traffic collision demonstration. and much, much more. You will also get the chance to win a Vauxhall Corsa, courtesy of Martin Rumble.
Special guests are looking forward to meeting your little ones including Marshall from Paw Patrol and Peppa Pig.
Refreshments will be available on site from the BBQ supplied by Frank Parkers Butchers, a cafe and a Prosecco Bar sponsored by the Co op at Horeston Grange, Nuneaton.
