The hot weather has created problems for fish in various pools across the UK as the oxygen content of the water has been reduced by high temperatures.

Sadly, our own Stubbs Pool is amongst those pools that have been affected and some of the fish have perished.

Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council has taken advice from the Environment Agency and will install pumps to re-oxygenate the water as soon as possible.  As this is a nationwide problem the demand for industrial pumps is high but the council has successfully sourced some pumps which should have been delivered by now.  They will continue to pursue all avenues to alleviate the problem and follow Environment Agency guidelines.
