Pupils recieve the bark from Adam Cooper and Simon Ward

Children at Camp Hill Primary School now have flower beds to be proud of following a donation of bark chippings from housing regeneration specialist Lovell to use in their school garden.

Pupils in the school’s gardening club had been working hard on their ‘secret garden’. Lovell and its sub-contractor Forest Hill Landscapes made the donation following a request from one of the parents to help finish off the flower beds to a high standard.

Adam Cooper, Site Manager for Lovell, said, “We are committed to the local community as much as we are to the new homes we are building. We are delighted to have helped the children at Camp Hill Primary School with their gardening project, which looks fantastic!”

Lovell has recently received a silver Considerate Constructors award in recognition of the excellent standards of consideration shown by the company towards its workforce and the environment as well as its commitment to the local community at Camp Hill. Lovell has previously visited local primary schools to talk about the dangers building sites pose to children as well as supporting a range of wider community initiatives, including local employment and training opportunities.

Lovell is currently developing the second phase of the major regeneration development at Camp Hill in Nuneaton, in partnership with regeneration initiative Pride in Camp Hill. Phase two of the development, also known as ‘Renaissance’, includes 227 new homes for sale, affordable rent and shared ownership and a new ‘village centre’ with a landmark community building and brand new retail units.
