New and expectant parents in Warwickshire are now able to access three free online guides funded by Warwickshire County Council’s Smart Start Programme.
Becoming a parent can be daunting, the guides, designed by the NHS, support mums, dads and carers to build positive relationships with their infants and children. The main aims of the guides is to help parents and carers to strengthen the emotional resilience and well being of their infants and children aiding them to bounce back from life’s various challenges as they move towards adulthood.
By acting early Warwickshire County Council hope to help grow parent’s confidence, responsiveness and relationships with their children. By producing the guides the council aims to help parents feel more supported and able to deal with issues as they arise.
The three online guides on offer are as follows:
- Understanding your pregnancy, labour, birth and your baby.
- Understanding your baby.
- Understanding your child.
Each guide is suitable for parents, grandparents and other carers. They can all be completed flexibly at the users own pace.
