Camp Hill Residents' Forum

The Camp Hill Residents' Forum was created following a large scale public election process in 2003, utilising the Electoral Reform Services (ERS). These dedicated local residents frequently give their time and energy to move the project forward and to represent the local area and fellow residents.    Camp Hill Residents Forum logo

Their action plan includes: -

  • Tackling environmental issues and the appearance of Camp Hill.
  • The successful Camp Hill Young People’s Holiday Scheme which raises funds to send young people on a much-needed holiday, providing an opportunity for personal and social development, and confidence building.  Rosie Goodwin local author gave an audience to local residents September 2008 as part of the schemes fundraising activities.
  •  Visual audits with an aim to improve the environment.
  • The forum was involved in the tender process for the Phase 3 development.

Being part of the Residents' Forum can offer a fantasitc opportunity to put something back into the community, learn new skills and meet new people. Local residents are encouraged to get involved - no matter how much or little time you have to give, joining the residents forum can be a very rewarding experience. Even if you don't want to join the Residents' Forum, you can still get involved. Look out for forthcoming Residents' Forum fundraising and consultation events on this website or in the Camp Hill News.

The Forum hold regular drop-in surgeries every other Thursday at Copper Beech Cafe, Copper Beech Road from 12 noon to 2pm.

The surgeries offer residents the opportunity to share a wide range of community issues with the Forum, who may be able to offer advice or point residents in the right direction. Apart from reporting problems, the surgeries also are a chance to meet the Forum over a cup of tea and learn more about joining the Forum or about other volunteer opportunities in Camp Hill.
