Are you Looking for Inspiration?

Camp Hill also has many sources of inspiration which means there are always ideas for activities and groups flying around.  See below to find out what’s going on.  If you would like more information click on the links underlined in blue.

Camp Hill Library

Camp Hill Library is a bright and welcoming community facility housed in the CHESS building.  It boasts a wide range of books available adults and children to borrow, ‘Talking Books’ and ‘Books on Prescription.’  Theres also DVDs to borrow, free internet and email access and photocopying.

Anyone is  welcome to join the library, you just need a signature from your parents if you are under 16.  Or if you have some spare time, as the library is a community facility it depends on members of the public to keep it going, so potential volunteers are always welcome.

If you would like to find out more about Camp Hill Library or volunteer to help out call 024 7675 7108, email camphillcommunitylibrary@gmail.com or click on the link above.

Camp Hill Young Person’s Holiday Scheme (CHYPS)

The CHYPS Scheme works to raise funds to provide holidays and trips for local 7 to 17 year olds who would not otherwise be able to get away.  Local families, members of the community and partner agencies are encouraged to get involved with the scheme by volunteering and identifying young people who could benefit from a trip.  The scheme also networks with local businesses encouraging them to support the scheme.

Young people are also referred to the Scheme by schools, local community groups and individuals working in the community.  Referrers are encouraged to join the CHYPS Committee which guides the scheme.

If you would like to find out more about CHYPS call the Pride in Camp Hill Offices on 024 7639 9093 click on the link above.

If you have an idea for a community group or an activity don’t forget you can apply for Camp Hill Community Chest funding.  For more information call Hayden Wright at Pride in Camp Hill on 024 7639 9093.

If you are already running a group or activity we would love to hear about it.  We may be able to help you with Community Chest funding or by telling people about you on this website or in Camp Hill News.
