Phase 3 – Bluebell, Saxon Rise and Saxon Meadows
Barratt Mercia, one of Britain’s best know house builders has started constructing the final phase of the Camp Hill development.
Phase 3 is the final phase of the development. When complete it will comprise a total of 814 homes with a minimum 25% of affordable properties. The new housing has been designed specifically to make the most of the phase’s unique south facing slope. The area will feature a high street, open green spaces, views across Whittleford Park and will link naturally to the rest of the project. The phase will be split into 3 different sections, which will be as follows:
The first stage, Bluebell, consists of two, three and four bedroom houses and one and two bedroom coach houses.
The Saxon Rise development has been finished and consists of 141 residences.
Saxon Meadows will consist of a mixture of 45 houses and flats.
There are also plans to create a ‘Balancing Basin’ at Whittleford Park to assist drainage from new homes and create a natural habitat for wildlife.
Advantage West Midlands (now closed) invested £4.9 million in Phase 3 as part of a total investment of £13.5 million in Camp Hill. Eight point two million pounds will have been invested by the Homes and Communities Agencies (HCA) National Affordable Housing Partnership by the end of the project further to £3.1 million already invested by them into the wider Camp Hill area.
