Bluebell (Phase 3)

Barratt Mercia– one of Britain’s best known house builders has started on site with this very high profile part of the overall redevelopment.  The final phase - Bluebell, named by a local resident, is set to transform Camp Hill and breathe new life into the area.  When complete the project will comprise a total of 814 homes, with a minimum 25 per cent affordable. The new housing has been designed specifically for Camp Hill and its unique south facing slope. The area will feature a high street, green open spaces, and open views across Whittleford Park and link naturally to the rest of the project. The first phase will comprise  one and two bedroom coach houses and two, three and four bedroom houses. AWM is investing £4.9 million in this phase of the development, as part of a total investment of £13.5 million in Camp Hill. And a total of £8.2 million will eventually be invested into the scheme for the Homes and Communities Agencies (HCA) National Affordable Hosuing Programme, further to £3.1 million already invested by the HCA in the wider Camp Hill area.

The Bluebell development also includes plans to create a 'Balancing Basin' at Whittleford Park to assist drainage from the new homes and create a natural habitat for wildlife, click here to see the plans.
