Things are changing in Camp Hill. In 2003, the builders moved in and following an extensive demolition scheme, work has begun to transform the area into a thriving community. Housing - Residents moved into the first of the new homes in January 2005.
Fifty-seven plots were released in the first wave of the new Lovell development. All these are now sold or reserved. Of the 172 houses being built on the Middlemarch Rise estate, 40 will be available for affordable rent with a further six for shared ownership and 126 for sale.

Village Centre - Planning permission has been granted for the new Village Centre and Lovell has been selected as the preferred developer. Builders are set to start on site in 2006, with work starting soon on a new community building.
The work will take three to four years to complete. The proposals include:
- 232 new dwellings - a mix of houses, bungalows and apartments
- 12,819 sq ft of retail space (nine units)
- a 13,063 sq ft community building
Twenty-five per cent of the new homes will be for affordable housing, including some for shared ownership. The remainder will be available for sale on the open market.
A £1 million grant has been secured from the Learning and Skills Council towards learning benefits in the new community building and for improvements at the Early Years' Centre.
The plans include a library, computer training rooms and facilities for learning for young people. The building work on the Early Years' Centre is already complete and work should be complete on the new community building by late 2006/early 2007.
Infrastructure - As an out-of-town housing estate, Camp Hill suffers from poor access. To link the estate to Nuneaton, work is underway to build new roads and encourage traffic flow through the development.
Two new principal access points have been created. The road layout has been changed into Midland Quarry to provide easy access to the new business park. This has been designed to divert industrial traffic away from the new properties.
Midland Quarry - The Midland Quarry site has been passed to local developer Smart Developments (Midlands) Ltd. Preparations for the 56,000sq ft of industrial space are underway. Initial interest has been high.
Following planning approval, work is expected to start in 2006 on the new business units.

Refurbished properties - Around 1,600 individual improvements have been made to 757 properties in Camp Hill. These include new kitchens, bathrooms and windows.
