Born and bred in Nuneaton, I was educated at St Josephs and Nicholas Chamberlain Schools before becoming an apprentice printer with the Nuneaton Tribune.

My career continued in media and technology at the Birmingham Post and Mail where I was part of a team creating the worlds’ first electronic newspaper, Viewtel.

A spell with AT&T creating the beginnings of their Internet database was followed by the birth of another new venture, the Heartland Evening News (now the Nuneaton News).

I took on the role with Pride in Camp Hill because I believe Camp Hill deserves a co-ordinated regeneration programme that is mindful of the needs of the population.
